2026 National Day Program - 1

Ozark Chamber of Commerce to Coordinate Ozark’s National Day of Prayer Event

Ozark, Missouri — The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that it will serve as the official coordinating organization for Ozark’s National Day of Prayer beginning in 2026. This transition allows the Chamber to provide additional logistical support and resources while continuing the long-standing community tradition of gathering together in prayer.

Through its organizational structure, the Ozark Chamber is able to provide tools and resources that will help strengthen and sustain the event for years to come. These include communication platforms, sponsorship and funding mechanisms, marketing and promotional support, website resources, insurance coverage, and event coordination assistance.

While the Chamber will serve as the official coordinator, the event will remain a strong community partnership. The original community-led Ozark National Day of Prayer Committee will continue to play a key role in planning and leading the program. Sarah Orr of Adams Funeral Home, along with several dedicated volunteers, will continue to serve as coordinators of the event and will help ensure that the program maintains the spirit and format that the Ozark community has come to appreciate over the years.

“This event has always been about bringing our community together,” said Chris Russell, President and CEO of the Ozark Chamber of Commerce. “We are honored to support this tradition by providing the organizational structure and resources needed to help the event continue to grow and remain sustainable for many years to come.”

The 2026 Ozark National Day of Prayer event will take place at a new location this year. Stained Glass Theatre in Ozark has graciously offered the use of its theatre and venue to help keep this important tradition alive. The event will be free and open to the public.

The Ozark Chamber of Commerce also plans to formally register the event with the official National Day of Prayer organization as part of its effort to align the local event with the national observance.

The theme for the 2026 National Day of Prayer will be in alignment with the national theme: “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.” This year’s theme carries special meaning as communities across the country reflect on faith, unity, and prayer while also recognizing the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States in 2026.

Event Details:
Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026
Time: 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM
Location: Stained Glass Theatre, Ozark, Missouri
Admission: Free and open to the public

Sponsorships and donations are still needed to help support and sustain this annual community event. The Chamber is also seeking additional local churches and community volunteers who would like to serve on the planning committee. Participation is open to everyone in the community. You do not have to be a member of the Ozark Chamber of Commerce to attend the event, serve on the committee, or sponsor or donate to support the National Day of Prayer.

Businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals interested in getting involved are encouraged to contact the Ozark Chamber.
